In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month and Gandhi Jayanthi (the birthday of Mahatma Gandhi) we were thrilled to host the 1st annual Charity Walk to support early testing on 9th Oct 2022 , a beautiful fall day. Sanskriti of NJ partnered with Let's Save Ma to raise awareness about breast cancer and raise funds for cancer screenings in vulnerable communities. We raised a total of $3400 , including a match of the first $1000 by Sanskriti of NJ.
Let’s Save Ma is a not-for-profit charitable organization committed to raising breast cancer awareness and providing breast cancer screenings to women of all ages with a focus on reaching the underserved populations. We believe the journey to educate women and younger girls about the risks of breast cancer and the need for mammograms starts with AWARENESS and EDUCATION at an early age. We are working towards providing messaging to schools and community groups in an effort to educate the younger generation. Children are the best messengers to help inform and encourage their mothers and other women in their lives to understand the risk factors associated with breast cancer and when to get screened.
We couldn't have made this huge effort a success without the selfless help and contributions of a number of volunteers in our community and the Sanskriti Indian School teachers and youth volunteers and school committee who were ably led by Sangeetha Nayak.
A heartfelt gratitude for your generosity. It is much appreciated and will be put to good use.
