The Livingston Chess Club By Sanskriti of NJ Scholastic Chess has enjoyed explosive growth in recent years and has shed its reputation as a game only for intellectuals. Beyond the sheer pleasure of playing, studies have shown that chess improves academic performance, concentration, logical thinking, and social skills. The Livingston Chess Club, an inter-generational chess club, is an initiative sponsored by Sanskriti of NJ. The club is open for all chess enthusiasts 7 years and older in Livingston and nearby communities and meets once a week for instruction and recreational play. Chess club will follow the Sanskriti Indian School Calendar 2020-2021 (Click here to view schedule) Starting October 18th, 2020, the club will meet online on Sundays from 11:00 AM to 12:15 for the year 2020-21. The club offers a Beginner and Intermediate program. The early bird discounted cost is only $350 for the entire school year! The club is made possible by Sanskriti of NJ and a dedicated team of volunteers. The Coaches team is lead by Bhavya Shah, a National Level Chess Player in India who coaches and conducts tournaments.
